On behalf of the organizing committee, it is our pleasure and privilege to invite you to participate in 3rd National Conference of Society of Internal Medicine of Nepal (SIMON)-2018 being held at Hotel Asiatique , Biratnagar from 4th to 5th Falgun 2074 ( February 16-17,2018).
Nepal is a third world country and struggling with communicable diseases. Despite urbanization, Nepal is still a rural dominated country. Due to poor sanitation and diagnostic facilities, communicable diseases are claiming lives of our people. Some like cholera and enteric fever are endemic in whole Nepal others like malaria and kala-azar are endemic in particular areas of the country. Increased incidences of communicable diseases like Japanese encephalitis, leptospirosis and dengue fever has further complicated the scenario. To combat these challenges, we have decided to conduct a conference with the theme of 'Journey against Tropical diseases: Where and how Nepal stands?' The conference will help exchange knowledge, skill and updates in this field of medicine.
Eminent speakers from home and abroad will be delivering the state of art lectures. The conference will include plenary lectures, free papers and poster presentations. We humbly request all participants for the active participation and discussions to make meeting more lively and interactive.
Your participation and contribution will make the 3rd National conference of SIMON 2018, in Biratnagar, a great success. Biratnagar, an industrial city of the country, has many historical importance. The weather during the conference will be comfortable (Max 28-30oC to Min 12-14oC). We look forward in advance to welcoming you in one of the prestigious event of the year.
