President of Society of Internal Medicine of Nepal Honored with CCP Honorary Fellowship at Regional Medical Summit in Colombo
COLOMBO, SRI LANKA — The Society of Internal Medicine of Nepal (SIMON) achieved a milestone in regional healthcare leadership during the 59th Anniversary Academic Sessions of the Ceylon College of Physicians (CCP), held from September 16 to 19, 2026, at the Shangri-La Colombo.
The President of SIMON, Dr. Mukunda Prasad Kafle officially attended as an invited speaker alongside leaders of top internal medicine associations across South Asia — including Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka — and executive leadership from the Royal Colleges of Physicians of Edinburgh, Glasgow, and London.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to the field of internal medicine and cross-border clinical advancement, the Ceylon College of Physicians conferred its prestigious Honorary Fellowship (FCCP) upon the SIMON President during the formal proceedings.
